Angie Hayden serves as a START Mentor, bringing both professional expertise and lived experience to her work with individuals and families navigating complex systems of care. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts from Xavier University and is currently pursuing a Master of Social Work at the University of Kentucky, where she continues to strengthen her clinical and advocacy skills.
Angie has a diverse professional background that includes working as a Service and Support Administrator with Hamilton County Developmental Disabilities, where she supported individuals and families in accessing coordinated services and long‑term supports. She has also served as a Resource Navigator with United Way of Greater Cincinnati, connecting community members to essential resources and addressing barriers related to housing, healthcare, and basic needs.
Angie is deeply committed to social work due to her personal history with substance use disorder. Her recovery journey informs her practice and allows her to connect authentically with those she serves. She is passionate about helping others find a way out of darkness and into hope by offering compassion, encouragement, and practical support. Angie believes that lived experience, when paired with professional training, can be a powerful catalyst for meaningful and lasting change.
