Join Us for SWAA Homecoming
Every year, we welcome our alumni back to campus for Homecoming. More than a reunion, it’s a chance to reconnect with old friends, meet new ones, and reflect on where we’ve been and where we’re headed.
In addition to traditional UK Alumni Association (UKAA) festivities, we host exclusive experiences unique to social work and criminal justice. It’s a fun-filled celebration of our community, and we hope to see you there.

One Day for UK
One Day for UK is the University of Kentucky’s annual 24-hour giving event, bringing together alumni, friends, faculty, staff, and students to support the programs and people they care about most. Held each April, it’s a powerful opportunity to make a collective impact in just one day.
Gifts to the College of Social Work support students from rural communities through the KY E.D.G.E. Fund—providing scholarships and wraparound support like mentoring, academic resources, and career development. Your support helps ensure more students can stay, learn, and lead in the communities that need them most.
UK Founders Day
Each February, the University of Kentucky celebrates Founders Day, honoring its 1865 beginnings and more than 160 years of impact as a land-grant institution.
The College of Social Work joins in the celebration by bringing alumni together—both in Lexington and beyond—for connection, community, and Wildcat pride. Whether you attend in person or engage from afar, it’s a chance to celebrate where you came from and stay connected to where you’re going.

SWAA Summer Self-Care Challenge
Accept the challenge of caring for you. Every summer, we invite alumni to put self-care into action. Kicking off on International Self-Care Day, the challenge includes the prompts and resources you need to make yourself a priority.
