Get to Know Chelsea
Chelsea Bass is the study coordinator for Dr. Karen Lawrence’s Brain Resilience, Aging, and Stress (BRASS) Study. As study coordinator, Chelsea conducts participant interviews, engages in recruitment outreach, leads team meetings, and works on data management and analysis. Chelsea joined Dr. Lawrence’s research team as a practicum student while receiving their MSW and has remained on the project since they graduated in May of 2025.
Bass has a background in mixed-methods social sciences research. Prior to getting their MSW, Chelsea received a BA in psychology from the University of Kentucky. They have worked on studies focusing on a variety of topics, including LGBTQ+ youth and families, dental providers’ opioid prescribing behaviors, and women’s health and aging. Chelsea also enjoyed their time working as a social work practicum student at a local elementary school.
