Christine Saylor serves as a KY-KINS Family Peer Support Specialist with the University of Kentucky College of Social Work, supporting the Kentucky Kinship Resource Center (KKRC). In this role, she works directly with kinship caregivers navigating unfamiliar and often complex caregiving situations, providing peer-based support and resource navigation to help caregivers access services, build stability, and feel more confident in their role and advocate for their families.
Christine brings a background in behavioral health, where she provided Targeted Case Management services to individuals diagnosed with serious mental illness (SMI). Through this work, she supported individuals in accessing community resources, connecting to wraparound services, and working toward stable housing. This experience informs her practical, solution-focused approach to supporting families.
Christine is a first-generation college graduate who earned her Bachelor of Social Work from Lincoln Memorial University in 2024, where she was recognized as Student of the Year. She is passionate about harm reduction initiatives, outreach to individuals who are unsheltered, and programs that support recovery from substance use disorders. Her work reflects a strong commitment to supporting families with compassion, understanding, and a focus on long-term stability.
