Get to Know Elizabeth
Elizabeth Andrade serves as Academic Coordinator for the Child Welfare Preparation (CW PREP) and CW SUSTAIN programs at the University of Kentucky College of Social Work. In this role, she supports students across their academic and professional journeys, coordinates program operations, and collaborates with internal and external partners to strengthen the child welfare workforce across Kentucky.
Elizabeth plays a key role in preparing students for careers with the Kentucky Department for Community Based Services (DCBS), providing guidance on field placements, job readiness, and professional development. She leads student engagement initiatives, organizes trainings and retreats, and supports graduates as they transition into the workforce. Her work focuses on fostering student success while helping build a sustainable and well-prepared workforce in child welfare.
In addition to her professional role, Elizabeth is currently pursuing a second master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of Kentucky. She previously earned a Master of Arts in Historic Preservation from the University of Kentucky in 2023 and holds a Bachelor of Arts from Transylvania University (2011). Her interdisciplinary academic background informs her holistic approach to student support and her commitment to community impact.
Elizabeth is actively involved in Chi Sigma Iota, the international counseling honor society, and contributes to campus and community initiatives focused on leadership, service, and student success. She is passionate about empowering future social workers, fostering meaningful connections, and supporting programs that create lasting impact across the Commonwealth.
