Jessica Adkins

Jessica Adkins serves as a KY-KINS Family Peer Support Specialist with the University of Kentucky College of Social Work, supporting the Kentucky Kinship Resource Center. In this role, she works directly with kinship caregivers, providing consistent support and guidance as they navigate complex caregiving situations.

Jessica’s approach blends empathy with practical application, supporting caregivers in identifying needs, problem-solving challenges, and accessing appropriate resources. She builds strengths-based relationships that promote engagement, resilience, and stability, while providing individualized support tailored to each family’s unique circumstances.

Her work includes maintaining clear communication, supporting service coordination, and assisting caregivers in navigating systems such as benefits and community resources. She collaborates with social service professionals and community partners to strengthen continuity of care and improve outcomes for the families she serves.
