Get to Know Rebecca

Dr. Rebecca Hill, DSW, LCSW, is an educator, licensed clinical social worker, and clinical social work supervisor with over two decades of experience in child welfare, pediatric healthcare, and behavioral health. She earned her Doctor of Social Work from the University of Kentucky in 2023, where her research focused on effective treatment approaches for young children with co-occurring anxiety and speech, language, and communication needs. She also holds a Master of Social Work from the University of Kentucky, Bachelor of Social work from Eastern Kentucky University, along with specialized graduate certificates in school social work and play therapy.
Dr. Hill’s clinical work is grounded in trauma-informed, developmentally appropriate care, with a strong emphasis on early childhood interventions and family-centered practice. Her prior roles include social work positions within the University of Kentucky healthcare system, including the Department of Pediatrics and Emergency Department, where she addressed trauma, violence prevention, and provided integrated behavioral health.
In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Hill has an extensive history in higher education. She is a lecturer at the University of Kentucky College of Social Work, teaching courses in social welfare policy, community practice, and practicum education. She has also supervised graduate students in integrative behavioral health settings, contributing to the development of future social work professionals.
Dr. Hill is an active presenter and collaborator, contributing to professional conferences and interdisciplinary initiatives on topics such as sensory differences, trauma-informed care, pediatric health, and community safety. She has participated in multiple national learning collaboratives through organizations including the American Academy of Pediatrics and Johns Hopkins School of Public Health.
