Samantha Chenot

Sam Chenot serves as the Senior Experiential Learning Specialist at the University of Kentucky College of Social Work, where she is a member of the practicum team. In her role, she primarily supports students during their practicum placements, particularly when challenges arise. She oversees the Placement Support Request process and the Employer-Hosted Placement process, serves as the SW 444 course instructor for BASW students, and triages support needs among students, staff, agency field instructors, and practicum team members as needed. She also runs metrics and analyzes data through various processes to inform decision-making, improve practicum operations, and enhance student outcomes. She works closely with the UK College of Social Work practicum team and Risepoint to help ensure students succeed in their practicum experiences and progress toward graduation.

Sam brings a background in social work as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), with experience working with adolescents as both a therapist and case manager prior to licensure.
