Get to Know Allison

Allison L. Bourne serves as the Meeting and Events Assistant at the University of Kentucky College of Social Work, where she assists with the planning, coordination, and day-of support for meetings, trainings, and events held across the College.
Bourne brings professional experience in hospitality, staffing, and event operations. Prior to joining the University of Kentucky, she worked in staffing management within the hospitality and events industry. Her responsibilities included recruitment support, staff scheduling, documentation, and on-site event operations. She coordinated staffing needs, maintained communication with clients and associates, and supported event execution across multiple locations.
While completing her undergraduate studies, Bourne held student employment roles at the University of the Cumberlands supporting student services and campus operations. She served as an Orientation Leader and Patriot Success Leader, assisting with first-year orientation courses and coordinating move-in and onboarding events. She also provided front desk support within the advising center, delivered presentations to new students and families, and worked with advising, housing, dining, and student life departments to support student transition programming.
Bourne earned degrees in Sports Management and Exercise and Sports Science from the University of the Cumberlands, graduating in 2024.
