Get to Know Esther

Esther Tattershall has been an instructional designer in higher education for over 12 years. She loves the collaborative aspect of course development and believes in the power of education to empower people and transform lives. Her work has received awards from Blackboard Learn for excellence in course design.
Before becoming an instructional designer, Esther worked as a producer for Kentucky Educational Television. She developed educational media for K-12 classrooms and teacher professional development. She also managed learning repositories that served an average of 3,000 users every month. Her work in teacher professional development and instructional media production has been recognized by NETA and the NATAS Regional Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.
Esther has taught as an adjunct in on-campus and online programs. She currently teaches in the Digital Media Communications program at IWU Global.
She holds a master’s degree in communication and certifications in eLearning and instructional design and digital storytelling. She is a certified Quality Matters ™ Reviewer.
Esther is a native of Kentucky. She lives in Lexington, Kentucky with her family. When she is not designing courses, Esther enjoys taking moderately good photos with her Nikon camera and DIY home improvement projects on free weekends. She loves true crime series, British mystery series, and college sports.
