Felicita Quinones currently serves as the Assistant Director for Kentucky Sobriety Treatment and Recovery Teams (START) at the University of Kentucky, while also practicing as the Dual Diagnosis (SUD/MH) Intensive Outpatient Program Therapist at SUN Behavioral. In her role as Assistant Director, she oversees START sites across the state, ensuring model fidelity, providing training, and offering ongoing support to frontline staff.
Before joining the University of Kentucky, Ms. Quinones gained extensive frontline child welfare and programmatic experience through her work with the Kentucky Department for Community Based Services, where she served as a Family Services Office Supervisor and a Service Regional Clinical Associate. She brings deep expertise in substance use disorders, recovery-oriented care, peer support, and collaborative partnerships with community stakeholders.
Ms. Quinones holds a Master of Social Work from the University of Louisville, a Masters in Psychology from University of Phoenix, Chemical Dependency Certificate from Union College, and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Northern Kentucky University. She is also licensed in Kentucky as a Certified Social Worker (CSW).
