Jessica Williamson

Jessica Williamson is a Senior Academic Advisor from Hazard, KY. She will complete her Doctorate of Social Work (DSW) degree from the University of Kentucky in May 2026. She earned a Master of Social Work (MSW) in May 2013. While pursuing her MSW, Jessica worked as a case manager at a local community mental health center. Prior to that, she worked as a health educator at the Kentucky River District Health Department. In August 2013, Jessica began working at the University of Kentucky’s (UK) College of Social Work (CoSW) as an academic advisor. Jessica became a Certified Social Worker (CSW) in October 2020. She became a Certified Appreciative Adviser in June 2023. She has taught part-time for UK’s CoSW and the Hazard Community and Technical College (HCTC). Her advising and teaching philosophy is student-centered, with the goal that students feel seen, valued, and respected.
