Katie Adams

Katie Adams serves as an Admissions Officer at the University of Kentucky College of Social Work, where she plays a key role in guiding prospective students through the admissions process. In this position, she manages application processes, responds to program inquiries, helps lead information sessions and collaborates with faculty and staff to maintain accurate records. She is committed to improving application efficiency and fostering meaningful engagement with applicants, helping them feel supported from one of their first point of contacts through enrollment.

Prior to this role, Katie worked as a missionary and social worker in Uganda, Africa and an English to Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) teacher in a local K–12 school district, where she created a safe and supportive learning environment for diverse learners. Her passion for and background in social work and education continue to guide her work.
