Selena Smith

Selena Smith serves as College Payroll Specialist Coordinator in the College of Social Work at the University of Kentucky. In this leadership role, she oversees day-to-day operations of the college’s payroll office, ensuring accurate and timely processing of payments for faculty, staff, students, and postdoctoral appointments in compliance with university, federal, and state policies.

Smith brings over 26 years of dedicated service at the University of Kentucky, with extensive expertise in SAP payroll systems, IES, CDEM cost distribution, and HR processes for biweekly and monthly employees. Her prior experience includes serving as Payroll Specialist Senior in the College of Education (2024–2025), where she processed payroll actions, maintained reports, and managed cost distributions. Earlier roles in the Martin-Gatton College of Agriculture (Division of Regulatory Services), Office of Research Integrity, and other units honed her skills in payroll administration, staff supervision, event coordination, travel processing, and financial forms management.
