Tamikia Dumas serves as Program Coordinator for the Foster Parent Mentor Program Western Regions, at the University of Kentucky College of Social Work. She is responsible for ensuring that newly approved foster parents get matched with a mentor to walk with them for the first six months of their new journey as foster parents. She works closely with Cabinet For Health And Family Services Department for Community Based Services (DCBS) Recruitment and Certification Teams to provide support to newly approved foster parents.

Tamikia has twenty-eight years of experience providing support to DCBS foster parents through Murray State University and University of Kentucky (CoSW) Training Resources Centers.

She earned her Master of Science in Human Services and Bachelor of Science in Social Work from Murray State University. She is also a Kentucky Licensed Social Worker.
